Soft Skills Development Programmes

While stepping into the professional world, it is important for students to have a strong character that complements their occupational skills. From communication skills to workplace etiquettes, we make sure that our Soft Skills Development Programme covers all the necessary aspects so that MUites make a mark in the corporate world.

KEC University frequently organizes various Personality Development Programmes for students to increase their employability. Under these programmes students are trained in the areas of speaking skills, behavioural skills, and more. This helps students in developing a professional personality and pave their path towards success.

Professionals in every field need to become problem-solvers first. They should practice the ability of working in a high-pressure situation and solving every possible problem coming in their way of professional excellence. We at KEC University conduct several Quantitative and Qualitative Aptitude Development Programmes for students to constantly practice their skills and become master problem-solvers.

The Placement Department at KU organizes a number of training throughout the year for the students. From mock interviews to company specific training, here is a detailed look at their preparation process.

Pre-final year and final year students in engineering, MCA and MBA courses are trained through mock interviews by industry experts. This helps them practice and acquire the know-how required to face the actual interviews and successfully get through them. The students are guided on various aspects of the interview process, including communication, body language, basic core fundamentals, attitude, and goal clarity.

As in mock personal interviews, industry experts guide and observe the students in the mock personal demo training as well. In this category, students are mentored and taught on how to better their presentation skills.

Starting from the 1st semester till the 8th, KU students are presented with tests on Aptitude, Written English, Domain Coding & Computer Fundamentals, so as to identify their abilities, skill levels and areas that need improvement. This is done in partnership with CoCubes, a scientifically-designed employability assessment, which also registers final year students for placement on the platform.

Before the students give their interview, the Placement and Corporate Relations Department holds a final training session known as CST or Company Specific Training for the final year students. In this, the students are briefed on grooming, the job role, communication, company details, resume, star-based questions, online interview etiquette and recapitulated on the basic fundamentals of the domain. This helps them in performing better during the actual interview.
